Clinical Notes
- Item weights vary: bulbar and respiratory items carry up to 9 points; ocular items max 2–3. This reflects the relative clinical impact of each domain.
- Physician items: Ptosis, diplopia, eye closure, and limb strength items are clinician-examined.
- Patient-reported items: Talking, chewing, swallowing, and breathing are based on patient report (over the preceding week).
- Neck: Score the weaker of flexion or extension.
- MCID: A 3-point improvement is the threshold for clinically meaningful response, used in REGAIN, ADAPT, and MycarinG trials.
- Pairs well with: MG-ADL (patient-reported, 0–24) and QMG (quantitative myasthenia gravis test) for trial-level granularity.
